I am a freelance photographer based in Sheffield, in the north of England. I've been working professionally since 1992, and have reported from over forty countries worldwide.

I regularly work for national newspapers in the UK, as well as many magazines, UK and international charities and large organisations.

I specialise in international development issues, education, social issues and environmental portraits, but find almost anything interesting.

Welcome to hansonphoto. My name is Richard Hanson, and I'm a freelance press and editorial photographer, based in Sheffield in the north of England. Since 1992 I have reported from over forty countries and my photography regularly appears in national UK newspapers and magazines.
